We are really excited to launch the most requested Feed My Inbox feature today, which is the ability to create your own email signup form for your site or blog. Here's how it works:

Step 1

Visit http://www.feedmyinbox.com/feeds/formCode/ and enter your FEED URL. Unlike the application, you can't just enter in a website URL, it has to be the feed location.

Form One

Step 2

We'll generate the code for you, so just copy/paste and style to your liking on your own site.

Form Two

Are you expecting more steps? Then you don't know us very well, because that's it!

We've added a form to this site on the sidebar, so feel free to try it out!

Most excellent..!

Found you all a few days ago while trying to find yet something else that was simple and that I didn't have to *fight* every single time I wanted to subscribe to a feed, *if* I could even add the feeds of others in the first place..

Due to an extremely short memory span, also needed something that came to me (emails, YAY..!) and not that I had to remember to go to it, like the feed readers in my Opera browser (because it just was not happening)..

Feed My Inbox so far absolutely fits the bill.. *Thank you so much*..

Peace and best wishes from North Georgia.. :)

Hi Guys
First off, love the app. Been killing myself looking for a app that does away with the reliance on Feedburner to sub to a site by email.

I was wondering if you have some sort of Browser Bookmarklet in the works, this would a welcome addition. Would just making adding a page a lot easier.

Also, JFYI

I did a, what I think was, a positive review on one of my blogs "http://www.wearejustcreative.com/2009/01/review-feedmyinbox-a-feedburner-future-beater/"

So trying to spread the word.

Keep it up,
Graham

Hey Graham!

Thanks for the kind words about our service, and the fantastic blog post review. We're blushing :-) ...

A browser bookmarklet is a cool idea for sure. We'll keep it on our radar, as we can hopefully get back into adding more features in the near future. Thanks again!

Nick> Are you planning to keep this moving and evolving? Or do you plan to really just keep it as it is, focused on doing the thing it does so well? Just curious really. :)

It's funny, I seem to be comparing you to how Ping.fm started out some time back. HAs the same feel, but look at them now, pretty big players in terms of services they offer and the ground they have taken.

Just saying what I think. Your site design for starters creates a very down to earth feel, so simple, i love coming back to the site because it's just so nicely designed.

Just some thoughts, I'll be plugging you away for sure.

What do you know of this new service that is still underwraps? http://www.feedsqueezer.com/

But anyway, great stuff. Will be adding your form to my new site coming up soon, www.lovehelvetica.com

Best
Graham

@graham - We certainly have plans for more features over time, and are very excited about them. However, it's not really our goal to compete with a large service like Feedburner or anyone else, except as it pertains to subscribing to a feed via email.

FMI is a really simple app, and overall that's not going to change. We're not out to go crazy with options for feeds, just stay focused on email.

Thanks for your comment!

I love the sign up form option. I've implemented it here:
http://www.manyspears.com/twitter

I love Twitter but much like RSS feeds, most people simply don't use it (yet.) So this is a great way to feed people my content the way they want it.

Have you guys thought about putting a Twitter-specific RSS feed to email service out there? Frequency settings would be key. Grabbing @replies and stringing them would be very cool too.

Any plans for a feature that would let me, as a form owner, track my stats, i.e. how many people signed up for my tweet feed?

Thanks,

Many Spears

@Manyspears ... thanks for the kind words about our service!

We have not really considered a specific twitter to email service, simply because ours tends to work just fine. But since so many people use it to track twitter, we might consider formatting the "tweets" a little differently in the email template.

As for frequency settings, we ARE testing real-time feed email updates right now with a number of our customers. If you would be interested in getting your feeds that way, shoot us an email. That feature will be available in the account area in the near future.

Lastly, we absolutely have plans to let you verify your site and track some stats about your feed. If you get anxious, you can always touch base and we can tell you how many people are subscribed to your feed. Thanks again!

Nick,

Appreciate the response. Wish your comment system here had email notifications- I forgot to check back to see if you replied until just now.

Re: Twitter, perhaps my suggestion was a business dev idea, not a technical one... Everybody with a twitter feed should know about this option! Can you integrate it to make it supah twitter friendly, and launch a vertical? Or are enough people finding you/doing this organically? I'm going to blog it eventually, but my audience is tiny.

Re: stats, that will be supercool. Of course in the interest of privacy, I hope people will be made aware that their stats are being tracked and shared with the form/feed owner, etc

Keep at it! Innovators like you guys will pull us out of the recession.

Cheers,

Many Spears
